Antique Table DIY

So my mom had this table in her basement for about 14 years now. I thought it would make a great addition to my living room. However the family almost flipped when I said I was going to paint it.

Take a look below.  A little paint from Rethunk-Junk by Laura and a sander with 80 grit paper turned this baby into a restored beauty!! ( If I must say so myself!!!)

Revamp of "Older baby furniture"

So this dresser/night stand was given to me by a friend. It was her youngest daughter's when she was a baby, soooo about 20 years ago. I decided to use it as a filing cabinet/storage in my office.  Two years ago I spray painted it all white and added crystal knobs from Hobby Lobby.

Well today I am doing a 2nd revamp of this item. I want it to "POP"! So I am using Ann Sloan Chalk paint, Provence, to add an accent color. Later on in the week I will add a clear wax to it so that is shines and has a smoother look.

Accessory of the week!!

So I finally received my new necklaces from Beadiful Accessories... I have been waiting for their arrival for over a week. Well worth the wait. ( Now if I can just find the perfect outfit!!)

Night time crafts

So I have just experience my first "Wait till the kids go to sleep" crafting session!! I completed a pearl bracelet for my daughter, Aria. Simple but very cute. The picture below may not do it justice. (cell phone pictures can be the worst) But she was asleep and I had to be very quiet!!

Yummy Perfect Pork Tenderloin

So I think this is my husband's new favorite dish. And I will admit I was extremely hesitant about cooking this but it came out so delicious !!

After searching for a recipe I found a cooking method that intrigued me. I used a 1lb pork tenderloin. Follow along below

1. Preheat oven to 550 degrees.
2.Season meat with salt and pepper
3. Place any rub you would like on meat. ( I chose jerk seasoning rub)
4. Place meat on cookie sheet uncovered and place on lower rack of oven
5. TURN OFF OVEN AFTER PLACING MEAT IN (Yeah this is the part that shocked me)
6. Leave pork in oven for 60-75min DO NOT OPEN OVEN
7. Take pork out and let rest for 5-7 min. Do not cut into it. Gives juices a chance to redistribute

I left my roast in for 75 min because pink centers scare me :-\

Hardwood floors are no match for ME!!

So I have struggled for two years trying to find the right product to clean my hardwood floors.

I hired a "cleaning lady" ( excuse my ignorance lol) but anyways. She comes randomly sometimes once a month sometime once every three months. I envy the fact that she always gets my floor spotless no sticky residue and no streaks.

I finally recently got up the courage to ask her , " What are you using to clean my floors I can never get them as clean as you do?" I have used oil soaps, vinegar, and like 3 other brands I dare not say. She stated she used Pledge commercial ..( I had no idea they had a commercial line )

I went to my local hardware store and there it was !!!! (Ahhhhhhh heavenly music) This is my favorite cleaning product and my life saver. ( I mop at least 2 times a week with my two 4-legged sons and a infant)
